Sarah Costello plays a key role in shaping Piller/Segan’s scripted slate, contributing to the creative development of new and ongoing series. With a sharp eye for compelling IP and a deep understanding of story structure, she actively scouts material for adaptation, tracks project lifecycles, and fosters meaningful relationships with emerging writers, talent representatives, and industry executives.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Sarah brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to development, rooted in a passion for championing unique voices and original perspectives.

Beyond her work at Piller/Segan, Sarah is the co-host of the long-running podcast Sounds Fake But Okay and co-author of the book Sounds Fake But Okay: An Asexual and Aromantic Perspective on Love, Relationships, Sex, and Pretty Much Anything Else, amplifying underrepresented conversations in media and culture.
